How CritSwap uses your data.

Your account and profile

Google sign-in provides account information such as your name, email, profile image, and Google account identifier. We use session cookies to keep you signed in. Your chosen profile name, handle, bio, expertise, X link, project details, and reputation can appear publicly. Your email address is not shown on your public profile.

Your reviews

Reviews are stored so their authors can see what they wrote and recipients can read them after unlocking. Authorized moderators can inspect reviews when handling reports and support. Ratings contribute to public reputation statistics; optional rating explanations remain private to the recipient and moderators.

AI checks and notifications

When you use project auto-fill, we fetch the public page you provide and send its URL and readable text to OpenAI to draft the form. Nothing is published until you save your project.

We send submitted feedback and the project’s name, description, audience, and feedback request to OpenAI for a quality check. We request that response storage be disabled; the provider’s own data-handling policies also apply. We do not intentionally include your email in these checks. Avoid putting sensitive information in your review.

Notifications appear in your dashboard. If you enable feedback emails, we use Resend to send them to your account email address. These emails include the project name and a link to CritSwap, but never the feedback text. You can turn them off in Settings.

Service records

We store credit transactions, unlocks, reports, moderation decisions, and service records to keep the exchange working. Authentication records can include session information such as IP address and browser details. The application and database run on the site’s ForgeVPS server.

Visitor analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand visits, pages viewed, traffic sources, and browser and device information. Analytics loads automatically and uses cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. Google processes this usage data. We disable Google signals and advertising personalization, and do not send account emails or review text as analytics events.

Your choices

You can edit your public profile and sign out in Settings, and pause feedback from your project settings. Accepted reviews remain part of the exchange and cannot be edited. Only share material you are comfortable having processed for these purposes.
